Lets get serious now...

One of my personal favorite formal looks for the summer, instead of the usual ponte dresses and shift dresses, are shirt dresses. White, black, navy, khaki and grey shirt dresses. They’re a lot more fun and still give off a very sophisticated lady like vibe. You wouldn't believe the number of compliments I received from my colleagues when I sported this look. Come on girls, we all love compliments, don’t deny it.

Anyway, I decided to pair black and tan because the combo is fool proof and looks extremely classy. Linen shirt dresses would be perfect too, and I suggest you add a smart skirt dress in your wardrobe ASAP. I personally love the collection at Mango, so do stop by the store if you can and try it out yourself.
Also, although I'm a big fan of piling on accessories, I decided to let this dress be the hero of the day and only wore a delicate silver chain.

  1. WOW, you look amazing! Good stuff!

  2. 1. The dress is too short to be "formal".
    2. The shoes are not formal. They also look very cheap.
    3. You look/sound amateur when you put this way too obvious colour combination for formals and call yourself a fashion blogger.
    4. And you asked us to buy a SKIRT dress ASAP. I think you meant shirt dress.
    5. Why do you tint all your photographs yellow? Are you afraid of the real colours?

    1. Hey, sorry, the skirt dress was an error, thanks for pointing it out!
And I know it isn't your typical formal attire, hence I added the "fun" bit. Also it depends on your work environment and dress code at your workplace, my office is pretty chilled out.
It is a very obvious color combo, agreed but fashion bloggers are allowed to play safe with colours as far as I'm concerned.
And about the photography,a friend takes care of it, but will pass on your feedback.
      Thanks for the feedback!

    2. perfect reply Ashwathy. This is by far one of my fav look. Keep doing what u know the best. To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by everyone, you need to accept yourself. God Bless.
