Watermelon martini

Fall is all about darker colors, true. But being in Bahrain, here's the advantage. Afternoons are still a little sunny currently so don't shy away from brighter hues for a quick bite with the girls.

I am currently obsessed with green as you all know, so anything I see with hints of green , I pick it up without giving it a second thought. Such was the case when I chanced upon these printed jeans at Zara on sale. I love prints but because I only saw printed trousers everywhere in the market, I never really felt the need to buy them because, as weird as it may sound, I hate trousers. Yep. It's true. I hate how they bunch up at the knee after you sit down and get up and what I hate more is the fact that with repeated use the dent at the knee region on the fabric builds in that way. I prefer jeggings, ponte leggings and jeans any day. So when I saw these beautiful printed jeans , I knew I had to have them.

Hating trousers is one of my weirdest closet confessions. What is yours?

Rocca Salad

I love winters more than summer days. Yes it's true. Apart from your face not melting off, there's lots of wonderful things about winter. Warm cuddles with a loved one, salted caramel mocha, bonfires and lots more. Style wise, you can layer separates to truly define your style. In summer, it's minimal clothing, so it really depends on the garment itself. Anyone can throw on shorts, a tank top and wedges. What's stylish in that? So this winter, bring out your layering ideas and layer away this festive season.

I love working with jackets and cardigans more than woolen pull-overs so whatever this unpredictable weather throws my way, I am always ready.

On a completely different note, I'm having an extremely hard time picking out my new years outfit this year. The shops in Bahrain aren't enough for me currently and I  have this sudden penchant for all things green, so yes, I'm on the hunt for the perfect green dress. Not just any green dress, the perfect one! I, myself don't know what it looks like yet, but I know that when I spot it, I'll know that's the one.

TSCT for Solace by Shweta Wahi -2

My fondness for skirts may not come as a surprise to you guys but my new found love for this Indian- Mix tulle skirt by Shweta Wahi has reached a whole new level. I love the length, the fact that it can be dressed up or down, The mix of tulle and the gorgeous Indian embroidered border. I paired it with a white blouse so that it sits beautifully with the accents onf white through the skirt and wouldn't take away the attention from what I wanted to be the hero of this look.

In my previous post here , I styled a blouse by the talented designer and today I'm working with the skirt. I love that Shweta's designs are elegant, fuss- free and easy to style. You wont regret it.

TSCT for SOLACE- By Shweta Wahi : 1

With comfort comes confidence, and confidence is always in style. –Shweta Wahi

Shweta Wahi , a Dubai- based designer of the label "Solace" is certainly making it big , starting from her debut as a runway designer at the Schulich Charity Association Fashion Show to recently showcasing at the Mercedez Benz Fashion Week, Africa.

In today’s post, I’m wearing a gorgeous blouse by SW. What I love about this, apart from the beautiful color, is the fabric. Lightweight, comfortable and easy to wear, this blouse can be worn over jeans, trousers or even tucked into a high waisted skirt. Although I love accessorizing way too much, I decided to not wear a necklace under the collar because the collar it self is a statement on its own.

I can’t wait to style my SW skirt soon. Post will be up day after tomorrow. Keep your eyes peeled.

"I am"

Being the accessory junkie that I am, a new shop has recently opened up at Seef Mall, called "I AM". They carry beautiful jewelry, scarves, bags and wallets. Needless to say, I picked up a few pieces to add on to my never- ending collection and the store even spoiled me by throwing in a few pieces in my goody back.

Do check out the store! I personally love the red and blue themed jewelry collection!

On days when I'm in a hurry..

...I stick to plain blouses and black jeggings. A comfier option to stiletto pumps are wedges. They give you the added height minus the pain you get when you're wearing pencil heels for more than 4 hours.
Remember, a blouse in a soft fabric is always best for those days when you're too lazy to "dress up" for work. So invest in some good solid colored blouses, pair them up with jeggings that have minimal metal trimmings and you're good to go! You can wear trousers too, but I prefer jeggings and ponte  leggings or solid black jeans any day!

On a different note, I'm going to be extremely busy prepping for my sister's wedding and my best friends engagement, so expect lesser posts you guys:(. But i'll try and fit in as many as I can!

Until then, xxoo

Restaurant Review- Tilly's

As you all already know, I love food a bit too much than the usual and I'm always on the look out for new casual lunch spots with my friends and family. It's no doubt that Passion restaurant is among my Top 5 favorite lunch spots in Bahrain, and now I have a new favorite brunch spot.
I've always passed by this pretty little bistro called Tilly's on my way to Jawad dome but never really sat down to eat. So a few weeks back, my sister and I went in , with the intention of having brunch, but the lunch menu looked so inviting, it wasn't long before we gave in.
I love the fact that all the dishes have pictures of what the food looks like so you know what you're getting. I also love that they have a variety of dishes and the fact that it spoils you with choice. Not to forget the special menu for healthy drinks- that have a blend of unusual fruits and vegetables and have extremely cool names!

We had the Grilled salmon and couscous, chicken and avocado salad (huge portions BTW) two health drinks and the total came up to BHD 13.000 only. Oh and needless to say, I've been going back for more as I really do want to try everything on the menu. Everything I've had so far was extremely good.

Beautiful ambiance, quiet surroundings, friendly staff and great food at such an affordable rate? what more can you ask for?
P.S: I highly recommend the shrimp pasta diabolo .
