Have I told you lately that I Love you?

You know whats more fun than a normal pony tail? A pony towards the side of your head! Paired with the right outfit, it can really make you look fun, quirky and effortlessly cool. Don't be afraid to work different hair styles. It's summer so we're all allowed to put up our hair however we like, as long as its out of our faces.
Make sure you don't don this up do when wearing formals. That will just look out of place. So unless it's casual Thursday at work, don't sport this look to work. I'm currently obsessed with stripes and tartan, so excuse me if i throw in a lot of white and black stripes and checks your way :)

On another note, I cant wait for winter, I hate summer! Also, let me just take this opportunity to remind you guys how much your support means to me! I just got my adsense activated from Google and its all because of you guys. Have I mentioned lately that I love you all?

My easy Grecian hairdo tutorial

So a lot of you have been asking me about the twisted hairdo I've been wearing lately. It's really very easy and I love working this look when my hair's just being crazy . It's also great to wear at parties and even weddings!
Before we begin, I must inform you guys that it's better to style your hair this way 1 day after a hair wash. It stays better and looks much more sleek.
So to begin, all you need is a hair brush, 2 strong bobby pins, a strong elastic and the bun maker/ donut clip.
1. Start by parting your hair in the center, just halfway to the back.
2. From one side, start twisting a small section of the hair. Make sure you keep taking smaller sections from underneath (at the hairline) and adding it into the twist. See the pictures below for a better idea.
3. Once you've twisted the hair, stop a little after the ears and secure it with a bobby pin.
4. Repeat the process on the other side.
5. Tie a pony a little up, not too high , at the nape of your neck. A low bun is always elegant.
6. After you've secured the pony, use the donut clip and make a bun. Don't know how to make the bun with this easy clip? Watch how to on my video by clicking HERE.
7. Add in a flower or any accessory if you like.
8. TIP: You can also wear a diamante elastic headband before starting the hairdo so the band peeks out at the top!

That messy corner in my room.

Hey guys! So I finally got back from my one month vacation in India. It feels so good to be back home, in my room, with all my shoes and clothes and bags. Sigh. How I've missed them all.

Anyway,Here are a few of my closet confessions:

• I keep all my flat shoes out on a shoe rack in my room. That way, it's easier to pick out what I want to wear once I've put on clothes.I do not wear heels everyday. They're in my shoe closet on the other side of the room, some boxed up and kept away only for occassions.However, I do keep 2-3 pairs of my comfiest heels out because I usually start the week in heels to work.
• I have a bag tree.It was a gift from my sister on my last birthday.Yes. It looks messy and cluttered. But thats just how I like it. These are only half of my collection. They're what I like to call my "everyday bags".
• I keep all my accessories out open. It's easier for me to look into a box and decide what I'm going to wear for the day. I do,however, box up all my silver and gold.

P.S: I'd love to do a closet tour, but guys, You wouldnt want to go in there. Trust me. Lol.

Rusted red and midi skirts

My love affair for skirts have reached a whole new level ! My skirt length OTM? Midi Skirts! I used to cringe at the idea of wearing a skirt that was neither too short, knee length or full length. I used to find it very unattractive. But now, I'm all about these weird length-ed skirts, especially when they're crushed cotton and with a heavy border.

When buying a similar skirt,make sure they're circular and have a good flare. Else, if you've got hips like mine and the skirt sticks on to your body, It's going to look hideous.
Also, I'm wearing a full kurta underneath the skirt, as a top. I think that this color sits beautifully with the hemline and I didn't want to wear a tee and take away the elegance of the skirt.

On another note, I'm back in Bahrain in another 2 days, so yay for that!

Blue, Green and Gold

It was my cousin's wedding yesterday and This was what I wore to the event. I love saris and for those of you who follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you know how fond I am about ethnic wear.

I usually pleat and pin up the sari at my shoulder. This is only because I hate leaving it loose. It's so much harder to handle and makes me very fidget-y.But if you're wearing a see through tulle sari , I suggest leaving the sari loose and only pinning one side of the border near the shoulder. I've also started hating short sleeved blouses. It's either 3/4 sleeved blouses or sleeveless for me. Oh and the back has got to be deep. There's an art of looking subtly sexy in a sari and we Indians do it extremely well.

On another note, If you're wondering about my blouse, I got it designed myself. I never use the blouse piece that actually comes with the sari. But in this case, I used the blue brocade as lining and got embellished green tulle fabric from a shop and fused them together to create a color in-between. I didn't want to go with the cliched one color blouse hence, my own creation.

Just Rambling...

So my vacation is almost coming to an end and although I will miss all the greenery around this place, I definitely wont miss the humidity right now. Bahrain's heat is actually bearable.(I cant believe i actually said that, But it's true.)

The thing is although it pours heavily, when the sun is out, its so humid, and my skin feels sticky and I absolutely hate the feeling. My hair gets crazy and all I can do is tie it up! Also I haven't been wearing much makeup here because ladies, your face WILL melt off. I only wear some sunscreen, a primer and some kohl. Surprisingly my makeup stayed on for long on the engagement day (see previous post). I'm thinking its because of the oil free Pore Professional primer from Benefit!

On another note, my sister gets married  in two days and I'm super excited!
