I wore this ensemble 2 weeks back, on a Friday and completely forgot to blog about this look!

I’m wearing a linen dress top, which is so comfortable and fuss free, I feel like I’m in my jammies at home. It also has a really deep,tie up back and for some weird reason, I totally forgot to get a shot of it.

Also, I don’t always wear heels. I like to give my feet a break from time to time and wear cute flats instead and these sparkly ones from Monsoon are my favorite. I have a huge collection of footwear and they’re not all heels.

I'm off now, decorating my hands with henna and all for Eid.

Being Indian

A friend at work and I decided to celebrate Independence day by wearing Indian outfits, having samosas and chai in the pantry and being dramatic all day.

I wore this green-gold and maroon combi kurta with comfy leggings, which I admit isn’t really ethnic.

 Anyway, I love my ethnic wear and I desperately wait for occasions like these to pull out my heavy earrings, heavily embellished salwar suits and saris. So, if you’re having a party, gathering or wedding- desi style, don’t forget to invite me.

PS: Almost everything I'm wearing is from a different part of India. Didn't really think of that until now!

PPS: I love these antique earrings gifted to me by my dear friend Sarika on my 19th Birthday.I'm 22 now. Do the math.

Last year, everybody complained I never wore colors. And they were right. I would always wear black, white, Navy and grey. 

Now they complain I wear too many colors. Sigh.

I love my monochromatic color scheme. I think it brings out sophistication and class as compared to wearing loud colors, not that I don't love wearing in-your-face colors.I've been wearing too much color lately which is why I decided to wear this dark outfit. My latest buy was this gorgeous blazer by Pull and Bear. I love how it can be dressed up and down, depending on the occasion.

Oh, and can I just add how I LOVE these jeans from Pimkie. I was very hesitant at first because I hate how all jeans stretch out at the knee when I sit for a long time and stand up. But these don't. And I'm so grateful to the pushy salesgirl at Pimkie!

I got them in blood red, grey and teal! :)

I've worn these glasses only once last year to work and it mysteriously went missing after that. I found it hibernating in the dashboard of my sister's car yesterday, covered in dust and all.

It was only fair I wore it again, and so I did-with big wavy hair, bold shoes and a cute printed collar blouse, which I love BTW. I love the oriental print and I love how the placket and collar are black and create a beautiful contrast. I'm planning on wearing this with a colored skater skirt again.So until I find the exact color I'm looking for (which will probably take what seems like eternity to me), I'm going to stick to neutral colored trousers and jeans.

Red, red roses...

A few days back, my brother came to visit and the three of us- my sister, brother and I had so much fun at this shoot. It wasn't very hot outside that day, which is weird, because I usually get baked out in this heat.Anyway, we had fun and I love how these pictures turned out.

I've had these jeans since last season and I only remembered I had these hidden deep inside my cupboard.

I decided to carry this bright blue bag to add a little accent to my red-black outfit.
