Stronger

Time has flown by so quickly. I still remember the time I started this blog with a friend/Co worker where we decided to discuss fashion and everything around it. In the beginning, it was something that we started for days where we had absolutely nothing to do and so this was our escape to keep our cog-wheels turning at work.
While I started venturing out into style posts, there were, obviously a few mean, spiteful comments and although hate comments are something that pops out now and then, when it used to bother me once upon a time, It no longer does. It only makes me feel stronger and more focused on what I want to achieve.
Blogging has become my passion and it really feels great when your work gets appreciated. Getting stopped in the malls and airports to ask if I'm Ashwathy is something that I never thought would happen. And now that it does, I feel great joy knowing that you guys find the blog so helpful. I truly appreciate all the great feedback, emails and simple message on my FB page and it really is what keeps me motivated. So thank you all for being so supportive. I truly feel blessed for having come this far.

Satin on Satin

Can you believe that this pink satin cut out dress is about 4 years old? That's the thing about buying into quality. Even if you cringe at the price , you know it will last you a good few years.Even though this beautiful dress has become loose for me over the years, it is too precious to give up and so I found ways to wear it.

I've worn this dress only once before, pairing it with a beautiful turquoise belt. For this look, I decided to go a bit more Semi formal, satin on satin look. Pairing it with my trusty blazer from Mango and gold snakeskin print shoes, add some sophistication that can easily take this outfit from casual to a glam business lunch!

A satin on satin combo is super classy for both work and night outs. Obviously you cant wear such a dress to work, but try pairing silk-satin trousers with a blouse in the same fabrication . Two words. Classy and fabulous!
P.S: Dont forget your pointed-toe pumps!

Travel Diaries: Dubai 1

As you all know, I was away on a one week getaway with my girlfriends in Dubai. It was the best week ever and we are all so depressed at the moment and cant stop discussing about the trip. It was me and 6 of my other best gf's whom you may recognize if you follow me on instagram. We stayed at a huge 3 BHK apartment and had an itinerary planned out all the days we were there. Now if I were to post all the pictures from the trip, that would go on and on and some pictures are strictly Adults only. Lol. ( P.S: It was a bachelorette party trip)

Moving on, I've collected a bunch of my favorite moments from the trip that are open to public and although you might not see all the girls in this post, you will be seeing them in the posts that follow! Here are some images from a dinner event at Maya's Dubai where we chatted and played charades over sangria and yummy food! And Yes, these images were taken in the restroom, which was too pretty to pass up.

Black Beauty

Three things that amplify evening glamour are- the color black, chiffon and rhinestones. These three things are all you need to incorporate into your outfit for a glam evening look! I never get the chance to do outfit posts before I attend events in the evening so I thought why not wear an outfit that I would wear for a night out and share it with you guys!

As you all know about my on-going love affair with crop tops, this knit tee had to make a comeback on my blog, and don’t be surprised if it keeps coming up. I’ve gotten so much use out of this piece of garment already; I can’t wait to share some layering tricks with you when winter approaches.

Until then, go buy yourself a black full sleeve crop top, and keep seeing how I style them. Oh and do leave your thoughts below and join my page on Facebook, here.
